The UW-Eau Claire Flesch Family Welcome Center is the main entry point for prospective students, alumni, and campus visitors, housing the Admissions Office, Alumni Association, and UW-Eau Claire Foundation. This new facility opened in summer 2021, offering ease of access for campus visitors and supporting goals to expand student recruitment and alumni activities. The building also reflects UW-Eau Claire’s reputation as “Wisconsin’s most beautiful campus” by incorporating local reclaimed wood in furniture and building finishes.
Atmosphere partnered with the UW-Eau Claire facilities designer to furnish several areas of the Welcome Center, including fireplace lounge spaces, Foundation offices and workstations, and Admissions Office seating. Products were chosen to create a welcoming first impression and comfortable environment for visitors, coordinate with building finishes, and maintain durability.
Throughout the process, Atmosphere worked closely with UW-Eau Claire to communicate product details, design offices and workstations, and coordinate delivery of trial chairs and finish samples. The project timeline required extra flexibility and creativity as staff worked remotely and campus access was limited due to the pandemic, but furniture installation was completed on time for the summer opening.
