Anne Beaton, Teacher at Armstrong High School in Plymouth, MN Wins FLIP Your Classroom Contest!

Recently, Atmosphere Commercial Interiors (Atmosphere) hosted its annual FLIP Your Classroom contest to celebrate the hardworking members of school facilities by providing comfortable spaces outside of the classroom that are designed to encourage respite and connections between colleagues. Atmosphere x Hon wanted to support schools at their foundation- through their teachers. The need to support the school staff and educators alike is a need now more than ever, with high burnout rates and lessened relationships being built between colleagues. Atmosphere x Hon set out to provide spaces where staff have choice and control over their downtime and the ability to create a calming environment to connect and gather more comfortably.
After reviewing the inspiring and passionate submissions, a panel of four judges selected local teacher Anne Beaton for the grand prize- earnings to design her ideal respite staff lounge that would deliver a calming space outside of the classroom and a communal experience for school staff. Beaton is a teacher at Armstrong High School in Plymouth, MN. Following the judges’ decision, we were pleased to surprise Beaton to share the good news!
