The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) designated October as National Ergonomics Month (NEM) in 2003 with the goal of promoting the science and application of ergonomics in the workplace. By educating the public about the importance of ergonomics, we can uncover different injury risks that may be lurking in the workplace.

In addition to HFES, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Associate (BIFMA) are dedicated to designing quality standards that promote safe working environments.

What are the benefits of ANSI/BIFMA tested furniture? These pieces have been rigorously tested for safety and promote a functional and healthy work environment, meaning an increase in productivity and a decrease in work-related injuries.

Your work shouldn’t be causing you pain, so we’re breaking down some of our favorite ergonomic products that help bring comfort and productivity to your workday!

AMQ Cluvo Height Adjustable Desk with Deluxe Handset

This height-adjustable desk raises the bar for performance, movement, and design at work. The new Cluvo features a 300lb weight capacity, rapid height adjustment at 2” per second, and height adjustability that meets the BIFMA ergonomics height range to support the 5th percentile female to the 95th percentile male.

Our favorite feature of the Cluvo is the optional deluxe handset with LED display that gives users the ability to save custom seated and standing height preferences, and add reminders to sit, stand, and move throughout the day.

Even small, but mindful changes from seated to standing while working help combat sedentary workstyles that can pose long-term physical challenges!
