What happens when a manufacturer of canned foods has a production issue and the cans aren’t labeled properly? Often, they donate them to local food pantries; however, the food pantries can’t distribute the cans of food to those in need without the proper ingredient labels. That’s where volunteers come to the rescue!

On May 30, as part of our United Way Campaign, nine Madison Team Members volunteered at the Second Harvest Foodbank. The team worked hard for three hours cleaning, labeling and packaging cans of cheese sauce and creamed corn that could then be distributed to local food pantries and to families in need.
