This June, 17 team members headed to NeoCon 2012 at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago. The annual event boasts over 700 exhibitors and is visited by thousands of attendees.
Three of our team members, Amy, Julie and Stacy, shared their insights and photo albums from their adventures at the Mart. They began the tour on Monday, June 11, meeting at Starbucks at the Mart to register and strategize their approach for visiting key exhibitors.
National also introduced Jiminy, a new nesting chair.
Next, the ladies headed to Steelcase, where they saw the updated Room Wizard with a smaller touchscreen and analytics. They loved the Buoy chair, took note of the new Qivi chair, and felt that black was a significant color theme.
Steelcase also displayed a selection of new fabrics.
At Tandus, the ladies were delighted by Urban Nature, a new collection of five patterns that are inspired by Japanese art, and can be coordinated from small to large scales.
By Monday afternoon, Amy, Julie and Stacy made it to the 10th and 11th floors to visit OFS/Carolina/First Office, Coalesse, Designtex, Knoll (amazing purple wallcovering), HON, Izzy, Interface [showfloor by Steve Jende], Maharam, Mannington, and JJ/Invision.
And lastly, AIS, where the showroom was designed completely over-the-top with neon lights and loud music. Way to make an impression!
Their last stop was DL Couch before heading to Union Station to catch the train.
