You may have already heard the news, but we are so excited to share that we will join forces with our service partner of more than 30 years, Minneapolis-based Omni Workspace Company/A&M Business Interiors Services (Omni).

Effective Sunday, May 31st, Target Commercial Interiors (TCI) will no longer be owned by Target Corporation.  Instead, TCI and Omni will be jointly owned by a single holding company.  The holding company will be owned by members of our management team, led by CEO Mike Litwin, and members of the Omni management team, led by CEO Karston Anderson.  There will also be several outside investors, led by Tim Anderson, founder of Omni.

Omni provides delivery, installation, move/add/change and a host of other services with respect to commercial furnishings and equipment.  Omni operates in all of TCI’s geographic locations and over the past 30 years, we have developed a successful model to provide integrated, seamless service to our clients.

Beginning June 1st, TCI will no longer bear the bullseye logo, but much more will stay the same than will change as a result of this new structure.  That includes our talented team members and our strong focus on our clients.  We will continue to operate as we do now, with the same leadership team and locations.

Being one of the country’s largest dealers of Steelcase products, we will continue to partner with them, as we have done for over 50 years.  Steelcase is the world’s largest, most innovative designer and manufacturer of commercial work environments and we are proud to have their enthusiastic support for our new, management-led ownership structure.  We are working closely with their full team to develop an even more dynamic plan to grow the scope and scale of our product and service offerings.

“We appreciate all that we have achieved as a part of Target.  With the support, tools and systems Target provided, we have been incredibly successful.  Target has committed to continue using TCI as their exclusive furnishings provider, however, they remain focused on reorganizing their Business to Consumer operations as we continue to grow our Business to Business organization.  It is good timing and a great opportunity for both of us to move independently towards our respective company visions,” says Mike Litwin, CEO.

This is a very exciting time for TCI and all of our team members! Our sincere hope is that you see this change as positive and exciting, just as we do.

In the coming weeks, we will share much more about our new name, branding and the many other exciting things we are working on.  There’s much work to do, but we are energized and committed to making this transition as smooth as possible for our team members, our clients and all of our partners.
