Q. What was your first job?

A. Order Specialist, Gabberts Furniture and Design Studio, Edina, MN.

Q. What was your best job?

A. My current job…I love what I do, and truly enjoy building new business relationships.

Q. In addition to earning a paycheck, how else has your career created value in your life?

A. I really enjoy helping people solve problems, and feel like I get to do that every day with my customers.

Q. What is your most memorable travel experience?

A. Going to Aberdeen, South Dakota, for a healthcare project, and the plane breaking down. We had to take a little six-seat prop plane for the final two hours…the turbulence almost did me in.

Q. What do you like to do in your spare time?

A. Anything my sons will do with me.  I also enjoy boating and riding motorcycle with my husband.

Q. What lessons has your work life taught you?

A. If you do an honest day’s work and respect your customers, they will want to work with you more and tell others. The biggest compliment anyone can receive is a referral.

Q. Do you have any favorite stories from your work life?

A. I was invited to a ground breaking ceremony for a tribal casino and hotel project, and was honored to be a part of their ceremony and understand how these projects truly affect their community growth and development. It really inspired me that what we do affects lives so personally. In the overall scheme of life…we all want to make a positive difference.
